- What are the exact container dimensions?
- Do you offer a rent to own program?
- Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards. We do charge a 3% processing fee on all credit card transactions.
- Is there anything that I shouldn’t store in my container?
Mattresses, fabric, clothes, etc can introduce a lot of moisture in to the container but they are fine to store in it. Please continue reading below about condensation. Some items that we do NOT advise to store in a container:
*Leather of any kind
*Arts or crafts held together with hot glue (sometimes the container gets so hot that the glue releases)
- What about condensation?
All containers are wind and water tight. Sometimes it may appear a container is leaking when, in fact, it is condensation. Condensation happens one of two ways: Either the air is cooled to its dew point or it becomes so saturated with water vapor that it cannot hold any more water. Lack of ventilation and humidity control is what makes containers condensate. Typically, the container is not humid unless moisture is introduced into the container and then the door is locked. If you are in and out of it a lot on a humid or rainy day and you shut the doors you have essentially locked that moisture in the container and created a mini weather system. Usually condensation is not an issue in the warmer months. It’s worse when there is a large swing in temperature.
- What can I do about condensation?
Be aware of what you are storing in your container. Mattresses, fabric furniture, clothes, etc can all bring a lot of moisture into the container. If you are in and out of it a lot on a humid or rainy day try to remember to crack the doors on the next warm day to let out some of the moisture. Another option is to buy a desiccant such as damp rid and set it in the container. We also offer modifications to put ventilation fans in as well as dehumidifiers.
PLEASE remember that a container is a non-climate controlled metal building. Any thing that has a great significance to you, whether it be sentimental or monetary, should not be stored in a container if cold, heat or humidity will bother it.
